There was a girl on the other end of the phone who threatened suicide as she was tired of her father’s abusive ways towards her mother and her. We spoke to her at length and persuaded her to be strong and meet with us. She said our words had given her courage and she felt better knowing that there were people who understood her and could help.

When we asked her how she got our contact, she said she had seen our pamphlet of the ‘1000 Events’ that her uncle who was a doctor obtained. She said she called the number given on that. We feel good that we have been able to save a life.”
