“I have been able to convince my family that having girls is not a sin. This has happened because we are all now part of the campaign.”

Shahin Parveen, a 30 year old Muslim woman from Mastanshah in Bhandara district in Maharashtra, was married at the age of 18. She was happy till she delivered a girl and two more girls in succession. Her life was a living hell with her husband amd her in laws tormenting her daily. After she joined the campaign, she says she has been able to reach out to them and initiate them into the campaign as well. This has allowed them to understand how and where they have gone wrong and mend their ways.
