“My name is Sadasivam, I live in Karur district. I am a secretary of the Youth club attached to Nehru Yuvak Kendra in my village. I was introduced to the campaign by an alliance member. After becoming a part of it, I started helping my mother at home, something I never did earlier. Then in a few years I married. By this time I had qualified as an Old Change Maker and became part of the ‘1000 Events’ initiative. I was at this point asked to list five changes I had made in my own life after becoming a Change Maker. I realised at this point that I had made no changes in my life. I had stopped with helping my mother. I did not extend help to my wife. I resolved at that point to change and it made me realise that such events do indeed bring change.”
