Naveen Jhajharia: Handling Hostility

Twenty three old Naveen Jhajharia lives with his father and an elder brother and sister. He has completed his MSC in Psychology and is deeply interested in social work. As a Change Maker, he says he faces a lot of hostility from boys and men who are reluctant to change their attitudes. “I try to change the prejudices of students that I tutor and even put up a fight to ensure the rights of my sister at home. I too have had to battle gender stereotypes with regard to his choice of career. People ridicule what I do. But I am resolute in my purpose. And as a Change Maker, I am even more determined to stick to my career choice. The going is not easy but I am trying.”
