Launch in Madhya Pradesh

Around 1,000 young women and men arrived from various parts of Madhya Pradesh to participate in the launch of the campaign in Bhopal on December 17 and 18 2004. The events in the morning of the first day included discussions, a talk show on the issue of violence against women, and creative workshops for 350 young persons on poster making, song and poetry, sculpture and dance and theatre. A documentary film Armaan was screened and discussions on the film followed.

On the second day, the participants joined in a run to eliminate all violence against women. Noted social activist Asha Mishra and ex-chairperson of the State Human Rights Commission Justice HK Shukla spoke on the occasion.
