A press conference was organised in Ranchi on 22 November 2004 to lend visibility to the campaign. On 25 November 2004, a series of street plays were staged at the Firayalal Chowk in Ranchi. A public march by 100 students and a host of cultural programmes followed on November 29 2004. The campaign was taken forward from November through December 2004 with the help of cultural performances in the local markets of Ranchi town and the block headquarters. The launch was brought to an end by a closing ceremony on 12 December 2004 in Sainik Bazar in Ranchi.
